meh, the fossil could have been from a triceratops that lost its big, over the eyes, horns in a fight and were regrowing them back much like a deer's antlers will do.

Just another Centrosaur, with horn patterns more similar to Einiosaurus (found in Montana, just south of Alberta), also from the late-Cretaceous period. Nothing earth-shattering here, unless you're really into funky-horned Ceratopsians.
