What are you listening to? What’s playing over and over on you speakers/ear buds?
Love this song. Found this version of a video to be very interesting.
Been listening to Third Day lately... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7-Cs3a3Dghs
I've been going with Larry Verne, Red Sovine... schit like that...
“Breaker 1-9, is anybody there? C’mon back truckers and talk to Teddy Bear.” You had to grow up in the CB radio era to appreciate Red.
I played Teddy Bear and Phantom 3oh9 at the breakfast table this morning... My family hates me!
And a little Johnny Thunder...
A band I had never heard of until very recently. A cover band from Russia....Leonid & Friends. This group is absolutely stunning. They cover several bands but Chicago is their main claim to fame. Once you listen to a couple of their songs, you get hooked. Below is Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4, and they do it every bit as good as Chicago's studio version....almost better if that's possible. The entire band is Russian and leaves you blown away by their abilities. Also...I added a 2nd video simply because one of their horn players is wearing a Gator shirt. Small world. Gator shirt vid....first seen at the :08 mark.
Happy Easter everyone.
Ксения Бузина is hot as balls!
Understatement. She speaks 7 languages....MBA in Economics...a very accomplished pianist....and absolutely gorgeous. From their website: "Born in the Transbaikal region of Siberia, in the city of Chita, Ksenia Buzina is credited as being the first Russian singer understood by over a billion people on earth. That’s because Ksenia sings and speaks Chinese fluently and has her own Chinese album and music videos. She was featured in the Russian TV version of The Voice and has participated in numerous television and festival appearances. Now a resident of Moscow, Ksenia began singing as a child in various school events and competitions. She earned her first paycheck singing at the age of 16 accompanied by her musician Father, performing in local restaurants on the weekends. She graduated with her economics degree from the Baikal State University of Economics and Law where she specialized in “World Economy.” She said, ”I do not see myself as an economist, but I was glad to study at the institute because there I learned Chinese.” Ksenia didn’t stop there. Besides Russian and Chinese she can also speak English and can sing in English, Chinese, Italian, Armenian, Kazakh, Bulgarian and French. She joined Leonid & Friends in September 2016 with the debut of the song Wishing You Were Here and has become an integral part of the band’s vocal landscape both in the studio and live performances." There are several vids on YouTube of her. That girl is seriously world class. I had never even heard of her until very, very recently either....what a shame. I feel so deprived. (And unfortunately so old too.) She does this every bit as good if not better than Celine Dion.
Love me some TD C2. In fact they are my Pandora radio station that I listen to daily. But I have been listening to these guys lately.
Yes, I know who she is, she sells out in Vegas too. I have seen Serge before at a bar in Kyiv. I think he's the only non-Russian in the crew. Not to take ANYTHING away from her, but she sings in those languages, she doesn't speak all of them. My daughter can sing in 5 languages, speaks 1.5 of them.
That's a great hymn. I also like this version by the Singing Contractors.
