If a coach knows he's leaving, he's not going to keep recruiting unless he plans to then flip the kid to his new school - which as we've seen with WM, is a real possibility. But in any job, once you know you're leaving, your performance (recruiting, in this case) drops off without your heart in it and the best move is a quick clean break to start ASAP on your next opportunity. You raise a valid point on the coaches leaving AL, and I don't have the facts on how hard they were still recruiting for the program up to when they left. It just defies logic for people to put in effort on something if they know they are leaving, but I accept it happens..
