This thread is funny. I do think they should be fairly balanced, favoring the run. I would also think in addition to play action, we should see a good dosage of Treon running some run/pass option.

I agree with everything you posted. Yes, funny and correct.

Its gonna be a tough game and could go either way. We are playing at the Swamp but SC has had 2 weeks to prepare for this game. I just hope we can force some turnovers again and get some short fields to work with. I know our D will be up and ready for this game...I hope. Play action pass could be killer in this game for both teams as we have great RBs and SC has Mike Davis. I hope we can hit some deep passes. Go Gators!!

In the 2 games against SC (Muschamp era) where we didn't get a very large lead early SC ran the ball much more than they passed but that will probably go out the window with how their defense has been playing.

Has Spurrier ever lost 3 games in a row as a college coach? Maybe his early years at USC. The extra week to prepare worries me. I guess we find out just how far we've come on offense this game.

Last three games in 1999. FSU, SECCG vs. Bama, bowl game vs. MSU. And he's definitely done it at SCar.

I don't think 1999 counts, I was think more regular season losing streaks. But you're correct, he suffered 3 or greater losing streaks twice at USC, 2007 & 2009. 2007 they finished with a 5 game losing streak after starting out 6-1. The 4th loss of the 5 game skid was a 51-31 pounding at home to the Gators. In 2009 the 3rd loss of the 3 game losing streak was again at home to the Gators, 24-14.

He also did it in 2006. And even though you don't want to include a bowl game as part of a losing streak, he did it in 2008, as well.

Pretty much the game that earned Tebow the Heisman. He was absolutely unstoppable that night. I didn't get to watch a single live snap until late in the 4th quarter because I was on a first date with what would turn out to be my wife. It had been a tough middle of the season stretch, so that night was glorious on many levels.

Bowl Games don't count.

Signed 1/2/13, William Muschamp.

I don't think WM has ever said that the Sugar Bowl didn't count. We played a bad game that night, it happens. Spurrier got housed by Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl, Urban got whacked by the Michigan team that lost to App State in the Capital One Bowl. Bad performances in bowl games are staggeringly common.

Didn't you use to have a sense of humor on the old forum?

Gators will beat South Carolina. People have driven Muschamp to the cemetery, but Muschamp will drive the hearse back home.

Not that anyone cares, but my prediction is USC wins 42-31. I expect Spurrier to be extremely aggressive on offense and their defense will load up the line to try and take away the run and force the game onto Harris' arm.
