Funny how an offense always does better when it involves the tight end.

And when the other team can’t rush more than 5 people.
That's just a rule that allows the league to function on limited practice.

SOS destroyed Saban's Bammers in 2010 with Cakalaka talent and they could blitz anyone. Every team seemed to think they'd just blitz the hell out of SOS the first time they played.

And when the coach realizes you aren't required to pass the ball in front of the LBs all the time.

Let's face it, most teams have safeties and backers that can't cover very well. Many have CBs that aren't particularly good either.

Throwing sideways shyt and hoping the defense misses tackles is a coward's offense.

Well, that kind of offensive thinking misses part of the point. SOS was always great at setting up the TE straight up. Hit the big dude moving vertically. You always get good results.

True mostly because he disguised them well.

But he did just as well when he preferred to use 4 or 5 wide.

It's much more difficult to scheme vertically than to just kick the ball out wide to your playmakers. Maybe the new mindset is just lazy.

Spurrier should be an nfl OC or maybe Mullen could relinquish play calling?

SOS is 71. He doesn't want to do the game prep you need today, watching all that film, even if QA cut it first, cooking a game plan, etc.

He is doing what he should be doing. Short season. LImited practice.
