That’s not the way it works. Touch any part of the pylon and it’s a TD.

Nope, the pylon is OOB. You have to get the ball over it or touch it with the ball. He hit the pylon with his leg with the ball lateral to the pylon so it was out just short. Doesn't make a damn bit of difference since they would have scored on the next play.
