When I posted I thought people would be interested, some I think believe he could return to UF, or to college. I really thing that is a very long shot, probably more likely he would retire. Surely he does not need any more money, perhaps he pulls an SOS and returns in some role eventually. I would like that a lot.

Guess Westbrook didn't want to have to learn to ignore a new coach.

Billy is done with college ball.

Okc is doing pretty well this year. I still find it odd not seeing Billy on the court for the Gators. I'm glad he's doing well at OKC.

Can we officially name it Billy Donovan Court?

The UAA is batting around the idea of doing it after the $50m baseball stadium opens in front of 32 people. Preserving the thunder.

As much as I wish he would, you are correct.
I doubt he ever returns to college much less Florida.

All the best to the best!
I have a lot of respect for his decision. A great college coach is an icon. A great NBA coach is for a fleeting moment.

Money isn't the issue; there's an abundance of it either way. He's being true to himself.

huh? Auerbach, Phil Jackson, Pat Riley?

I’d hardly call them fleeting. They’re bigger than any college coach.

You just named three coaches out of the hundreds that have coached in the league.
I don't think this dispels 78's point at all. Wooden, Rupp, Coach K. to name three.

There’s hundreds of iconic/great NBA coaches? What the hell are you talking about?
