The smart bet is probably to take a good chunk of this and then cover when bookies come to their senses and reduce the spread to a couple of points.
Not that that matters . . . Ha! I think the dearth of Tennessee players going to the NFL last year speaks volumes about the talent differential between them and Florida. Butch Jones seems to have bumped them up a notch, but they are not at the level of competition they need to be to beat Florida. I have confidence in Mac. With Del Rio at quarterback, and the stable of running backs we have, I have no doubt that we will score. I also think our defense, particularly our secondary, will keep the Vols in check. I would love to see Pineiro nail a 52-yarder in Neyland Stadium.
I read where the TN view on that is we lost our elite talent whereas they have a seasoned roster.
No f'n way they cover.
Whoever made these odds up must not have seen any of the games in the past 11 years!
I can't wait for the inevitable meltdown from Knoxville after this one.
They'll come out tighter than a strung banjo....a fumble here, and INT there, and a KR for TD. Florida will make them implode and Bytch Jones will have a Ryder truck in his yard the next morning. It will be our first road game of the year, and nobody knows how Del Rio will do when the lights are the brightest on Saturday.
First road game of the season. I'm expecting a trick play here or there (maybe a fake punt ), and for coach to lean on the running game early on.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was backed up his driveway by halftime with the engine idling...just in case the second half is a repeat of recent years.
