We could have our first 3000 yard passing season since 2007. Under Meyer we averaged 3200 a year. (not counting Daz's 2010 team, 2400 yards). Under :kiffin: we averaged 2100 by design. Least year, even with Treon at the helm, we had 2900. This is a far different offense than we saw 2010-2014 but it does need competent line and QB play. Once that clicks, look out.

Nice to see some positive stats, but I still have to be mindful of the level of competition it's been against. Hopefully, I'm in the wrong about Mac but I just don't sense he's gonna be able to get over the hump...mainly due to recruiting.

First step is putting up the numbers against the weaker teams on your schedule. We always huffed and puffed about that under Muschamp, well it's starting to come back around for us. Seeing how this is the first year we've gained 500+ yards in two SEC games since 2008, that's a HUGE positive. Hell, Tebow's undefeated 12-0 regular season his senior year didn't even have two 500+ yard SEC games.

Somewhat related, as it reflects offensive production:

He [Luke del Rio] is more of a game manager than he is a difference maker, and these next four pass defenses he will face - #14 SC, #44 LSU, #61 ARK & #66 UGA - are all better than the ones he has faced to date -#71 N.TEX, #77 MIZZU, #83 UK, #95 UMASS .

I want to see it against the rest of our schedule. My guess right now is we will hit a couple of long passes a game to boost the numbers up with how LDR is chucking them like crazy now but the passing numbers besides that will be very pedestrian against some of these teams coming up.

Mac is showing improvement. Notice on sec film room tonight he keeps mentioning all the young guys getting pt. He's pushing that hard. He is playing his guys over the leftovers from chump. A few big time recruits will go along way for this squad!

Go Gators!

That is really pretty amazing. We had a bunch of punts against Missouri where he had to take something off the kick, because there was a risk of putting the ball into the end zone.
Yeah his punt average against Mizzou was only like 31.5 because he was punting on a short field every time. But he planted all of them inside the 20 and had no touchbacks.

Saw that. He also pointed out how the first teamers were cheering from the side lines as the back ups played.
