More importantly, we didn’t take the worst bowl loss.
On another (non-sports) site I frequent, I have traditionally loved rubbing bowl season in the face of the b1g folks. While the CFP semi finals gave me the opportunity to yet again cry 'over-rated' on their teams, I didn't. MICH & tOSU actually made a decent showing of it.
Additionally, I'd invest time in tallying conference bowl wins as one more cherry-picked stat to use in gloating. Alas, not this year.
FL 3 - OreSt 30
WF 27 - Mizz 17
KAN 53 - ARK 55
TT 42 - OleMiss 25
(TX 20 - WASH 27 not counting this, but they coming)
ND 45 - USCe 38
TN 31 - CLEM 14
BAMA 45 - KSt 20
IOWA 21 - KY 0
tOSU 41 - UGA 42
MissSt 19 - ILL 10
LSU 63 - PUR 7
SEC overall 6-5 (Nat'l Champ pending), best big wins are TN, UGA, and LSU = our rivals, and not something I'm going to be proud of.
Why did I quote GBM to make this statement? Because while we weren't the worst bowl loss, we arguably (KY shutout) were the worst bowl loss among SEC teams. :\
