I had five bypasses twenty-two years ago. Lost forty percent of my heart muscle. They say heart muscle can't be re generated. That is a big lie. I have proof mine was. I am back playing tennis, singles, back at a competitive level, 4.0. I am 71 expecting to live a long time. And I get to enjoy the Gators a few more years. God is good!I remember him taking a break from posting to have heart surgery , afterwards he posted a few times and then quit posting.
RIP Hotrod...
RIP
Which brings to mind, do deceased members get a posthumous banner of some sort?
I send out a monthly email to members that haven't logged in for a long time. It shows a list of recent threads and asks them to jump back into the fray. Evidently, a relative of Hotrod was monitoring his email and replied with the news.Damn. RIP fellow gator.
Ox, How did you find out?

Message boards are funny things. Generally speaking, we don't know each other personally yet feel a strange closeness, strange enough that when someone passes it hits harder than you'd ever believe. I appreciate anyone who takes time out of their day to contribute to the board, that's why I try and offer recognition whenever possible, such as birthday threads.
There are members here in which I disagree with in almost every aspect of life, yet it would bother me if they were suddenly gone. There's a connection there that has been built on years and years of near-daily interaction....all with our love for the Gators as our foundation.
