Nothing anywhere on the cause. You may recall he was sentenced to house arrest after pleading guilty to distribution of a large sum of blow in 2006. RIP to a great Gator.

I often find it telling when they don't list a cause of death in the announcement. If someone dies of cancer, they'll usually say so and so "passed after a long (or short) struggle with cancer," or if they die in a car wreck they'll usually say so and so "was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident." Hopefully, the family just wanted it short and sweet and it was some sort of natural causes.

We'd know the cause if it involved an accident and police. Nope, it's medical and it was all of a sudden tragic.
