RIP PJ O'Rourke

Hilarious satirist; I didn't always agree with his takes, but they were always funny. I have two of his books: "Holidays in Hell", about his time as a war correspondent, with other travels to less than desirable places thrown in, and "Parliament of Whores", which his take on the U.S. Government. My favorite line from the latter book was "Giving money and power to politicians is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys."

Died yesterday from lung cancer.

Parliament of Whores should be required reading in every basic civics class. PJ O’Rourke was a national treasure.
