That pitch and catch for the TD, the one that the receiver caught on the side of the end zone on his toes, made #2 on the Top 10 plays of the day.

QB-responsible TDs = Bradford 3 …. Sanchez 3 … Tebow 3 … Barkley 0

Running gains …. top RB 6.0 YPC … Tebow 5.9 YPC (= 2nd best RB on the team)

Longest runs … top RB 28 Yds … Tebow 26 Yds

QBR …Barkley 57.5 … Tebow 90.7

INTs … Barkley 2 … Tebow 1

Reasons why Tebow has a greater upside : (1) TT is coming from 2 years' rust - out of the game 2 full years, so far
more upside growth-development potential. (2) TT shakes off sackers more frequently, makes plays. (3) TT is near
best RB. (4) Time on the practice squad will pay off more with TT. (5) Fans will love the Eagles team better, more volume.
(6) More jersey sales. (7) More inspiring.

Good analysis there Rog.........Good case for Tebow to unseat Dirty Sanchez for the backup and on Bradford's heels.

Last night was additional proof of Tebow's clutch DNA. Tebow and Barkley both literally playing for their professional lives and careers, Barkley throws an awful pick on his second throw of the game and was nondescript after that, and displayed poor body language and lack of energy throughout.

Tebow on the other hand, looked like 4th quarter with Denver Tebow, playing his ass off. Running, throwing, making smart decisions with the ball, showing energy and excitement. You can call him a lot of things, but you better make sure you call him clutch too.

I have no idea whether this lands him a spot on the roster, but it was typical Tebow. And if that was the last game he'll ever play in, he did himself proud.

There appeared to be little doubt of which QB wanted to make this roster more. We can all criticize Tebow for his shortcomings, but you can never question his drive to be the best he can be.

And just another thought, if he does land a roster spot, I think he sees significant action this year. To begin with, does anyone think Bradford is durable enough to last 16 games without getting banged-up at least to the point where he needs games off? Hell, on one of the sacks in his limited preseason action, he looked like he was half-dead after a hit, debating with himself on whether to get up, lay there, or roll to the sideline to see the Doctor. And if Bradford goes out, Sanchez will be the same ol' ineffective, butt-fumbling Sanchez. The fans will demand Tebow, Kelly will want Tebow.

Tebow played great last night. Really hope it was great enough to make the team.

had 100+ QB rating with all those drops. Barkley was about 20. I think Tebow just won the competition.

It's hard to say who won the competition over all, Barkely was usually facing tougher competition with better complementary players as well. The 4th preseason game is the worst game to judge performance over because a lot of the guys in those games are going to make a 53 man roster, it is filled with bubble players. But Barkley went against 2s with 2s twice in the preseason, but last nights performance was mostly 3s and 4s. I still think Tebow makes the roster, but lets not make more of a 4th preseason game than what it is. There is a reason that starters traditionally do not play in them.

The question is, why did Kelly bring in Tebow at all? To be a classic drop back like all the others? The Eagles have absolutely no use for Matt Barkley, as they have two mediocre bums just like him in front of him. He will never, ever play and be inactive every Sunday. Tebow at least offers some new wrinkles in certain situations. Unless you think Barkley could eventually be your starting QB (which is laughable), there is absolutely no reason to keep him. He's totally useless to them.
