Heads are done. Will be picking them up tomorrow. The engine is scheduled to go back into the car on Saturday, June 27th. In the meantime I've been scrubbing and/or painting every single piece that's going back on the motor. All the brackets, pumps, hoses, etc. I get into the shower every night covered with filth. I've had grease under my fingernails for weeks.

Used to work with a girl in ATL whose dad owned a rather large group of Hardees and Carls Jr restaurants in the midwest. He was from around Lake of the Ozarks.

Went through this thread. Quite an undertaking and I am sure you're really excited to take it for a spin when done. Great job. My dream is a '67 Camaro SS. I was teasing the family this morning standing at the window this father's day......."I know my Camaro is coming down the drive at any time." Great work on this Ox. I will watch to see how she turns out.

Just an update. The heads, intake, and headers are going on the block on Wednesday night. All the lifters will be replaced at that time as well. In the meantime, I've been doing all the little crap like continuing to clean up the engine bay, re-wrap the wiring harnesses, etc.

The engine finally goes back into the car on Saturday.
