That was a different copy - the 2nd best copy. That copy had off-white pages, while this one had white pages. This one had never been publicly for sale before.TheDouglas78;n34239 said:That's an increase over the record 2.16 Million it sold for in 2011.
Most of the comic books of the 1930's ended up in paper drives for WW2.divits;n34259 said:Just think of how many millions of dollars worth of comic books ended up lining bird cages.
I walked into a comic book store at the mall this weekend while my wife was buying wife stuff. The people there really did look like they came out of central casting for a nerd movie. There were the goths with shaved heads and tattoos, the uber nerds in the back of the store in the "gaming" section who were playing some form of Dungeons and Dragons or something and then there was the store manager that reminded me of the guy on the Simpsons. I actually brought my wife in to show her. It was fascinating.Captain Sasquatch said:
Sounds like Stewart's Comic Book store on Big Bang Theory. Minus the goths.Captain Sasquatch said:
That's exactly what it looked like except no girls and they were rolling dice. And there were these little stacks of round stones piled up on the table. Whatever that means.Captain Sasquatch said:
