The Home Security System Thread

I’m looking into CCTV to install. I’ve had Ring, I’ve had Simply Safe. This place I want closed to only record and monitor myself.

Anyone have any recommendations or familiarity with them? I’m looking at you @Detroitgator w/ Squirrel Hideout.

Anyone have a different POV better reason I shouldn’t?

My system is a little older, but I've not been the biggest fan of it. Swann. 8 cameras, and they do the job, but just feels like a dated system.

I have Ring also, far easier to use and better alerts.

I got Simplisafe this year. It usually works fine. I think my slow internet is to blame for glitches. I get fiber optic next week.

 

[Altitude Gator]

I have Feit stuff all around - flood lights with cameras, door bell, etc.. Has an app. Records. Actually integrated some smart dimmer switches for some LED lights as well.

Limitation is that I had to get a different brand door knob/lock because Feit didnt have one at the time (not sure if they do know...probably should look into that).
