An Iranian man known as “the world’s dirtiest man” was laid to rest Tuesday.

According to the country’s state media, Amu Haji, or Uncle Haji, died Sunday at 94 years old.

Haji gained international attention for refusing to bathe for decades, believing he would get sick if he did.

A few months ago, he finally bathed.

If you read the comments people are like, "No way that's 115 feet, more like 90!"

Reminded me of Blazing Saddles:

Yeah, it’s not 115. I would say maybe even under 90. But still insanely massive where one wrong move is death. Crazy enough, growing up surfing, reading every magazine(and not just for the Reef add on page 2) I never even knew about Portugal. That is completely new level from Hawaii/Nor Cal big wave spots.

You gotta be crazy AF to surf a wave like that. I have friends who are adrenaline junkies, I'm not sure if any of them would attempt that!

I’ve never surfed, and at this point prolly never will, but I’d go to Portugal just to see those waves.

Pfft - I could do that if I wanted! :shakehead:

Except for the fact that when I'm at the beach and a 3' wave knocks me into the sand and I have difficult time getting back up....

When I taught my son to surf, the first thing I did was sit on the beach, having him look out at what appeared to be tiny, insignificant waves slowly rolling in. In truth, it was probably 2 feet with the occasional 3 foot set. Once we came in after his first hour or so surfing, we sat back in the same spot and looked at those same waves. It’s hard to appreciate what even a small wave has in it, until you’ve been beaten to a pulp by it. Really instills respect for the ocean. I’ve surfed 14 foot and it was the scariest thing I’ve ever done. No idea how these guys do this.
