We are living in the digital age with lots of ways to move money around.
While nobody likes to pay bills, what is your preferred method of payment now?

While my dad continues to pay them by check, he's had a lot stolen directly from his mailbox.
Conversely, our kids have never had to write a check. They use a banking app that allows them to scan in a received check so they rarely have to visit a bank.

• All the streaming things are auto pay to credit card.
• Pay EVERYTHING we can with credit card (including Daughter's rent in Gainesville) for rewards points unless there is a ridiculous fee for doing so... you'd be stunned how fast it racks up points.

Manually pay?? Only the annual tax bills.

Like deet I try to use the credit card rather than the checking account where possible.

Every few months I'll scroll through the transactions to see if anything looks odd.

All of this. Anything that must be paid by checking account is in my WF vendors and it’s a manual process that takes less than :30. Nothing on auto draft from checking. Everything else is on either Amex or one other card for travel.

For me I think the only things on auto draft are the credit card bills. Something with a fixed payment like the mortgage I have my bank automatically send an e check instead.

I won't do manual as I might forget.

My only complaint is actually germane to this thread. You can't set up a new auto-pay for a bill using the app. You have to do that through a browser.

Other than that it's been pretty good.
