Does anyone have any nightmare stories about roommates or co-workers?

In Beatty Towers I had one roommate who was a total dork. He hated the other 3 of us and wanted out of the room but they wouldn't let you switch without cause.

One night we did a typical fraternity prank and stole the rival frat's composite picture from their house. We brought it back to the dorm room until we could 'ransom' it back.

We didn't think anything of it but the next day, "John" our disgruntled roommate was gone, having moved to a different dorm. Shortly thereafter, UPD came knocking on our door and confiscated the 'stolen' composite picture. I put 2 and 2 together and realized he had tattled on us and used it as a reason to move out. I called him up and when he answered the phone I said "John, I'm coming to get you," and then hung up.

Couple weeks later I'm home in Orange Park on break and a sheriff's deputy comes to the house and arrests me. Charged with 2 felonies....grand theft and witness tampering. My dad had to leave work and come get me out of the jail in Green Cove Springs. That was a fun day.

The DA looked at the 'case' and gave me pre-trial intervention, which meant if I kept my nose clean for 6 months they drop the charges. Somehow, I made it.

Well, 3 of us got along fine and are still friends.

i had a co-worker stalk me for 3 years. i work in the DoD and because i am a white male and she was a black female, the dept wouldnt touch it with a 10 ft pole. EO dept even tried to put things back on me that i was "asking for it" or somehow coerced her into her fatal attraction psychosis. She would drive back and forth past my house for hours on random evenings, she keyed my truck. She would quietly walk into my cube and stare at me when my back was turned to the computer, she would create fake profiles of me online and post about us being together and how she was a great girlfiend, and she would follow me off site sometimes. One time she even showed up to a restaurant that i was at with a date and managed to get the table behind us without me knowing till the end of the date. she would send creepy emails to my work email and texts to my work phone.

This type activity went on for 3+ years without any intervention from dept and command leadership. I even brought it up in an all-hands to the organization commander so it was on record base-wide. all i got was a visit from HR and EO and some subtle threats to shut up and let it go or i may have disciplinary actions taken against me. My boss and his boss were muzzled after a year since they were on my side.

What it finally took was me getting married and having my first child, then this psychopath somehow found my wife on social media and sent her threatening messages saying if she sees her and my son out in public shes going to assault them both. We took the messages straight to management and because it was govt employee threat on a female and child, it triggered an investigation. 2 weeks later she was escorted off base by security, her employment was terminated, clearance eventually revoked and she was permanently banned from the facility. I later found out that the investigation revealed she had been stalking and harassing 2 other employees as well.

That's insane that they let that drag on. If she had ever actually gotten violent, there would have been some folks looking at some major liability. As effed up as DOJ was (and is), even they would not have let that fester. (During my IA time we had a few stalking cases and they always were investigated and referred for discipline. The squishy types would absolutely have been to afraid not to.) Even how they handled your stalker at the end was ridiculous. It should have been referred for criminal investigation and possible prosecution.

That's insane that they let that drag on. If she had ever actually gotten violent, there would have been some folks looking at some major liability. As effed up as DOJ was (and is), even they would not have let that fester. (During my IA time we had a few stalking cases and they always were investigated and referred for discipline. The squishy types would absolutely have been to afraid not to.) Even how they handled your stalker at the end was ridiculous. It should have been referred for criminal investigation and possible prosecution.

I went to EO and HR and had the dept head present for the meeting but it went nowhere and EO head basically said that it was too touchy of a situation due to it not meeting "normal" parameters. i forced them to clarify what all that meant and he eventually said the fact that im white and a male and shes a minority female make this very delicate and theyd prefer to have a very light touch and hope things just resolve naturally. useless wimp.

it's a good thing for them nothing happened to my family b/c if it had, theyd be paying out millions and id be on a beach somewhere retired.

I had a co-worker who was crazy af.

He was a typical Army knucklehead who always thinks everything is about him.

I’m just tryna do my job, you know. For no discernible reason at all, dude starts telling everyone at work that I’m crazy., telling my boss, telling my co-workers, doing everything he can to get me fired.

I’m like WTF dude. I tried to keep it professional. There’s a Popeyes right across the street from work, we all go there all the time. I see him at the table right behind me. I wanna be polite and say hi, but I know if I do his crazy ass will accuse me of assault or something. I figure I’ll play it safe and just ignore him. So of course when he sees me eating my chicken sandwich like a normal person he accuses me of stalking him! I can’t win with this psycho!

Honestly, I think he’s out of his mind. He’s got a list; I’ve heard him muttering the names “tater” and “fooley” and “let’s go brandon” under his breath.
