235. Once.... Miracles happen.
Hadn't bowled in years. Then at age 66 my family decided it would be fun for all of us to hit the lanes. I made it through about three frames. Then my 4 year old grandson decided it would be a good idea to run down the lane toward the pins. I "ran" after him. Of course, with the lanes being slick as hell, I fell on my ass slid ten feet caught my leg in the gutter and limped around for three weeks. DIL was right behind me. It was like a car wreck. End of "career". If only there had been video, it would have gone viral.

I had a 650 set in league play about 40 years ago.
But my high game in that set was a 253…..
My Dad was a huge bowling guy.
Always had his own team in two leagues a week.
Won a few team tournaments and a few double tournaments.
Rolls the classic finger tip arc.
Went to the Hoinke classic every year in team, singles and doubles.
Carried a 209 average in his prime.
He’s in the local Hall of Fame.
I could never master that finger tip grip and get that classic pocket hot time after time.
Once I went on the Navy, I’ve probably gone into an alley 5 times in the last 40 years.
But my high game in that set was a 253…..

Ive bowled like 2 times since the 1980's, but in the 80's bowled quite a bit socially, also a little bit in the Army with buddies in the early 90's (usually alot of alcohol involved). Never could put any spin on the ball so was a edge lane to sweet spot straight line thrower, probably averaged around 160 with my best being 235. I would occasionally have a "good" game above 200 but was wildly inconsistent. Never took it seriously though, all for shyts and giggles.

Haven't bowled since I retired from the Navy. ("85) Carried a 190 average at one time.. Highest game was 290..

I used to bowl regularly (had a work league that was fun) but don't anymore. I'm a straight baller so there's a very low ceiling.

My best game was low 200’s, somewhere in the 205 range. I had a Turkey in that game (all the knowledgeable bowlers will know what this is) and managed quite a few other good rolls.
