He was Larry Coker before Larry Coker!

I guess we could get one good year out of him before he strokes out on the sideline.

The man is 80 T-dog.

Not even the same - he put Miami on the map. Coker took Miami down once it was him developing the players etc.

Larry Coker is 66. He is younger than the Ole Ball Coach.

I just figured while we was mentioning coaches better suited for the nursing home I'd bring up schnellenberger

Schnellenberger or Broyles or Holtz. It's a tossup.

I say hire a search committee to handle it the way Texas did. I don't trust Foley to be the lone decision maker on this now that Machen will be out of the picture

Well at least this is not a serious thread. He retired from a program that he started so I don't see him coaching anywhere ever.

Definitely Holtz. He can do that dumbass trick where he pretends to tear the paper up and convince our guys we can win.

why not just give them 5 years and drop the red shirt? it's semi-pro now, what's another year... https://www.espn.com/college-footba...s-vote-unanimously-adjust-sport-redshirt-rule

I think its cool now that black coaches like Tomlin can become retreads like the old days. Used to be they would hire an old coach over and over before a Tomlin got a chance..............Does Cignetti get some attention by the NFL. Anyone watching the Oklahoma game tonight

Tomlin may just take one year off before coaching again
  • gatordad3 gatordad3:
Would this require negotiations since Tomlin had another year on his contract?
