Half way thru the season, probably too early to start worrying, but just wondering what underclassmen enter the draft? Seems we have been riddled w/ early departures during Chumps tenure, maybe we get a few guys stay to help the Gators win championships w/ Mac? Not sure how much that matters to players anymore even but I think we get a surprise or two.

Here's my guess the for eligible players:

Offense:
Taylor - stays
Robinson - gone
Dillard - stays

Defense:
VH3 - stays (just kidding)
McCallister - gone
Ivie - stays
Davis - gone
Brantley - gone
Maye - gone
Neal - stays?
Cox Jr - stays

I don't think we have that many declare early. Maybe 3, but not 5+ like above.

I think McAllister stays. He's a good pass rusher but he's probably only a 3rd down specialist in the nfl at this point. I don't know that I see Davis leaving early either.

Yes it is way too early to speculate but I will join in the fun. On offense there is not one underclassmen who is ready for the NFL, but if Demarcus Robinson wants to leave be my guest. Love to see him dancing around with the ball in his hands in the NFL, LOL

On defense VH3 is a given but the others:

McCalister: Not ready yet. Way too light and ill get pushed around like a shopping cart. Needs another year.
Brantley. Not ready yet but a big year next year puts him in the 1st 2 rounds.
Davis. An average college LB at best. Like him, plays hard, but not good in pass coverage.
Maye and/or Neal. Not good enough to play in the NFL no matter when they decide to cash in or use up their college eligibility. Must have ball skills to play safety in the NFL These two guys do not posses that skill

If I could pick one player to stay who might be on the fence, I'd go with Davis. He is a stud and we have zero LBs if he leaves and AA has lingering issues. His decision will be huge for us.

Taylor is gone. You only have so many miles on your body and I think he'll get a better NFL grade than we'd expect.
Robinson is gone unless he gets horrible feedback. I think he is a 2nd or 3rd round pick this year, and I'm not sure if he can move up high enough his senior year to stay.
McCallister could really help his stock if he stays another year and bulks up
Davis stays. I think his ceiling is fairly low and that he's already maxing out. So why not stay and go after a championship
Brantley will depend on his feedback. Same for Maye and Neal

McCallister is a LB in the NFL. He should playing LB now.'

As for the rest, I'm through with predicting. Tyler Moore went early to the "pro's." :rotfl:

I could see Taylor being gone just because of who we have behind him, his carries will probably be reduced. I have a hard time believing that Robinson is a 2nd or 3rd round pick, feels more like a late round pick...if that. I feel like what Callaway has done has hurt his stock by showing him up. In the end it all comes down to what these kids are willing to accept. Many might be fine with a mid to late round pick selection but coming back would help all of them. It's all about that money though.

I like all of our players but there's no way guys like Davis, McAllister, Robison or even Taylor should be thinking about declaring. They all need another year of strength training to be on an NFL level IMO. Robinson has some of the tools needed but needs to learn focus and perfect his route running and he finally has a coaching staff that can help him.

Taylor, Robinson, VHIII and maybe Brantley are gone.

Robinson has been in and out of the doghouse way too much this season to risk coming back and barely getting touches next season.

He'll grade out well at the combine probably and some team will grab him in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Offense:
Taylor - stays- I can't see him getting drafted in the first 5 rounds. In the NFL if it is not a great RB they just do not spend the high draft picks on them. He could even fall to free agency.
Robinson - May leave just because it does not appear school is his cup of tea, but he has fallen off this year.
Dillard - ?? If he leaves it is a bigger surprise than Moore. At least Moore played for more than a year.

Defense:
VH3 - gone
McCallister - Needs to put on weight unless he is planning to show he is an OLB.
Ivie - 1st year playing. Has to stay and get more film.
Davis - I think he could be a good NFL player. He is all over the field, but nothing out of this world. I say stays.
Brantley - Needs more film. He would be a late round pick but with one solid year he could be a top 45 pick.
Maye - Average cover skills. Would be a practice squad or special teams guy.
Neal - He will get a look due to his size, but is a project. Average speed and average to below in coverage. Can't imagine he leaves early.
Cox Jr - I think he may be a better NFL player than college. I could see him being a mid-round pick and playing 8-10 years.

This has been Taylor's best year by far. He is very good in pass protection and has run well behind a very very poor offensive line. He will get to the combine and show good speed and footwork and he will get drated in the first 3 rounds. He is gone... and that is fine.. we have talent behind him.

D-Rob - 1 round talent, but attitude will boot him down to the mid to later rounds. No team is going to spend a high round pick on a guy with his issues.
Maye - Leave early? Hahahahahahahaha!!!
McCallister - him leaving early is laughable. 5th round at best.
VH3 - gone and should leave. Get the money while you can.
Davis - 5th round selection at best. Many experts have him ranked as a 6th round selection.
Taylor - Mid round talent at best. Him staying an extra year won't improve his draft stock. His lack of speed kills him.
Neal - 5th at best right now. Easily can move up with another year. However, he could be a combine guy. He has a listed 4.5 40 time. He runs that he moves up quickly.
Brantley - Late rounder right now. Can become 1st or 2nd rounder.
Cox Jr - undrafted right now. Can work himself into a 5-7 rounder next season.

Do you think a Grier resolution that allows him to play next season fully would effect DRob's deciding ?
Numb 'n tone if you wish to opine.

I don't think so. I think NFL feedback will be the deciding factor. When NFL coaches put in the film of him running backwards a yard or two just to get out of bounds to avoid taking a hit, that's going to slaughter his draft status. It tells them he is soft.
