Some days you wake up and wonder what the hell happened overnight. Who suddenly decided that we all ought to use “pods” to distribute automatic dishwashing and clothes washing detergent? Setting aside for just a moment the insane reality that some moronic kids and maybe adults have tried eating them, there is absolutely no way they make a drop of sense. Was it so difficult for living, breathing human beings to pour the right amount? Dishwashers have that little cup anyway. Dumb! Clothes washers need varying amounts depending on the load size & dirt etc. So you’ve got to decide 1, 2 or 3 pods rather than just measuring the right amount. Dumber! And it wasn’t just some innovation that Proctor & Gamble or whoever introduced as a differentiating product. It’s like they all had a meeting and voted “Pods”. That’s not free market capitalism. That’s collusion or, worse, conspiracy. Publix has store brand pods. Why? It’s insane, stupid, more expensive and my wife keeps buying them despite my crystal clear explanations as to why not to buy them. Which is the actual issue. Ok. I’m done. For now. Thank you, Ox, for helping to preserve my marriage. She otherwise pretty freaking great and we’ve got 30 years invested.
