The only people who care about academic rankings are all of the elites from the wine and cheese crowd. There are a number of Universities who balance quality academic performance with athletic excellence, two of them play in the CFP on Monday.

Unfortunately the wine and cheese crowd is running the UF athletics department and they see little value in balance.

True story and very frustrating. The wine and cheese crowd is prominent in Ann Arbor and Austin but they manage to understand the importance of academics and elite football programs.

True story and very frustrating. The wine and cheese crowd is prominent in Ann Arbor and Austin but they manage to understand the importance of academics and elite football programs.

And it used to be the same way at UF but the culture has changed dramatically in the last decade and the changes have impacted much of the overall university.
If you don’t believe me, ask yourself why a former conservative US Senator is now the president. Apparently some people don’t like the changes.
