Wasn’t sure which of the Dan Mullen is a Tool threads we have going that would be the best fit for this, so I’ll piggyback off you. Look at his face as soon as the word recruiting is mentioned in the question. Holy smokes this is about to be bad for this guy.

How could the guy asking the question hear that fuchtard answer and then reply with "sounds good Dan"? Fuch him and everyone in that room for not calling Mullen out. Man I'm so ready for this mother fucher to be fired, never thought I could dislike a coach more than butters but Mullen has surpassed him by a mile. I couldn't make myself pull for uga Saturday but bet your ass I'm pulling for USCe, Mizzou and Samford over the next few weeks.

Can you remember when people were saying he is doing better recruiting than Butters... That we are a completely different team. When people questioned those assertions they went on the holier than thou schit about Butters being bad for UF.... Not the continued reduction of talent going on.

I actually do think there was a time when the program in general was on more solid footing than under Jim McElwain. Most of 2019 for instance. There were also guys like Tarquin that were local and hadn’t even been offered or talked to. So he cleaned some of that up. The problem, again, is he’s too thin skinned and can’t take the criticism. Once his strategies(QB, recruiting, pick one) started really imploding around him, he couldn’t handle it. Both failures, but for slightly different reasons.

To me, in terms of dislike, his only rival was ever going to be Muschamp. The plug was pulled on JM before it could really get to that. I’m sure if we endured another season it would have though. But if there’s a year 4 for this guy, it’s going to be the ugliest divorce in cfb history and will make Bo Pelina look like a walk in the park.

Butters was garbage, but the product looked best in 2019 with a majority of Butters recruits. A quarter of Mullins first two classes didn't make fall camp, so they recruited dudes that were not gonna make it or stay. 2020 was his best class, but the damage was already done. We have had two arrogant schitty coaches for different reasons (Muschamp and Butters) and now we have found what happens when you add all their bad qualities together in Mullin. Would any other AD in the country hand Mullen what our fuchtard did both initially and on the extension?

The importance of recruiting is a no brainer so when I see these two coaches talk about recruiting it's what I would expect, one gets it and the other is a condescending azz that doesn't care what you think. But lets look at the bigger problem. Emory was 5 star and he's been in this system like 3 years I believe and look at how unprepared he still is to run the offense. And with the style mullen likes to play he should be the best fit this offense has had since Mullen took over...right? But he isn't. If you watch these games and particularly the Ugay game you wouldn't come away thinking man that one team clearly has the superior ( and they do) talent and so it's no surprise they are winning big. We lost the game because of 2 minutes worth of dumbassery.

We were begging for AR and then saw the reason why you really don't want that defense to be what he faces in his first start. That situation is caused due to having a QB that should be ready and isn't. Look at OSU and the way they are using that freshman RB and ask yourself is he any better than Damien? I don't think so and in fact the OSU kid is running behind a much better O-line. The kid from MSU basically beat Meatchicken because Tucker made him a workhorse and pounded on UM for 4 quarters and it paid off. I could go on but it's pointless because we are stuck with this loser it would appear.

Guy got hit with a recruiting question, had his current situation compared with Ron Zook, and then was asked if winning out would even answer any of the questions he and his team have right now. Hell of an opening sequence.

We’re in year 4 with this guy. Next year will be season # 5 under this clown.

This is really starting to boil over. He has gotten zero support from Stricklin thus far too. The way this is going I just dont see how MuLLLLen is our coach for much longer.

I don't understand how he wasn't prepared to answer a question on recruiting, he had to know it was coming. It's like the Presidential daily briefings, they get a pulse on the hot topics of the day/week and prepare for questions. He could have simply said, "We're working hard on recruiting, can't really talk about specific recruits, but we're going hard after our targets and plan on signing a very good class this year...." Then he could have said, after the season we're going to address how we approach recruiting and work on improvements. Not too hard.....but instead? He acts like an f*cking as*hole and throws gas on the fire. smh

His fall from grace is going to be a sight to see....and he's not going to handle it very well. He might actually bail out on his own (if not for the millions of dollars sitting on the table).

I think a school like a VT or even a TCU would take Mullen; they would simply say his overall record isnt bad, brings them to NY6 bowls, etc...
Please dont act like getting the 4th best bowl in the SEC isnt the equivalent of Zook going to the Outback Bowl, the 4th best SEC bowl in the 00s.

From a VT perspective it is...I know you are probably drunk but hear me out. While thats not good enough here, at VT, going to an orange bowl is successful
