It is. This isn’t the SEC of the 5-10 years ago. You’ve got UGA and Bama then a bunch of average teams.

This. Of those top 13 teams, only two really scare anyone. Ole Miss is a slightly above average team, and Lsu is a little better because of Daniels. Auburn is year 1 of a new coach, Uk was off, tennessee was off, Usce is a trashfire, we’re garbage.

And Missouri is essentially the Wake Forest of the SEC. Their being relevant is tied to at least 2 of the 3 East powers being average or worse. This year that was us and the vols. If all 3 are bad, they can even win the division(see ‘13, ‘14). Otherwise, they should have 3 losses baked in before they even get started. They’re not top 13. We almost beat them as a 5-7 team playing a backup Fr QB for the last 20 minutes. They’re simply ranked there by default.

The SEC as top heavy this year as it’s been in a while. This two teams would still probably pound Oregon and Washington, but what UW’s coach has done this year is impressive. And before some try to dismiss their success, because of having fifth and sixth year guys, we can’t even seem to keep players in-house for two years. There’s a culture that he has built that has laid the groundwork for this year. As opposed to the culture we’ve built under Napier, which is the equivalent of a cheaply made apartment building in Port-au-Prince.

You guys are so right. SEC, worst conference in the nation. Can't state it enough.

It’s not the worst. But if OM played Oregon, you think the Rebels would be favored? The noles beat Lsu to start the season. It’s an off year in the middle. That’s what I think is being missed by you. I think uga wins it all and I’m not sure any game after today is within 3 TDs. So it’s not that the SEC is terrible. It’s too heavy, and there are several traditional powers like us that are down. Really not that hard to grasp.

The whole point was, Jay said the conference is "down bigly". If this conference is down then all conferences are down. Which means nothing is different because these teams are still highly ranked. Those teams aren't getting ranked on hopes and dreams they are getting ranked on wins.

If you can find where I said PAC 12 was better, I’d agree. And funny you stop at top 13 and cherry pick. SEC has 6 top 25, PAC 12 has 4. Let’s not try and act like there’s some huge disparity.

And do we really believe Mizzou is a top 13 team? A team we had on the ropes  And Tennessee a top 25 team? You’re out your mind.

Stop making excuses for Billy boy.
I don't know... but I'd bet $ if they were in the Big 10 West (which they would be), they'd be playing Michigan today, if in Big 12, possibly playing Texas right now, and in Pac 12 mighta been playing Washington last night.

CFB has a lot more parity due to NIL, transfer portal and a whole lotta average coaches. That’s why I’m not buying the SEC excuse for Billy in comparison to Deboer
