Here's the funny part about all this. Napier fired the DL coach who had the 3rd best position group performance this year as one of 2 coaches he chose to fire. I get the DB coach whose position group was the worst performing but if you're going to fire 2 coaches why not fire the 2nd worst performing position group coach(s) which was the Oline?

“I would always try to temper myself and make sure our players and everybody knew, say there’s a reason why we have these nice facilities, I guess there’s NIL now, it’s because of fans,” Meyer said. “Just be careful. Just take it and deal with it because no one’s making the coaching staff stay at Florida, if you know what I mean. There’s plenty of places where you can go and mediocrity is accepted. It certainly seems to me that seeing us this way pisses him off. He's outright calling out the staff for sucking and not fulfilling their obligations to the team and the fans. He's coached a few places but he's always struck me as a Florida guy at the end of the day and his activities since essentially retiring have only enforced that. Yeah I think he would consider it if we asked.

Bring Urb in as the GM for football. Let him hire the coach and set up NIL, Draft, S/C, PR etc.

Make the GM position at the same level as AD. AD can handle the other sports.

We would be the top story of College Football for the entire month of December.
We would immediately, jump to the top 5 in recruiting, and ,by the time signing day comes in February, he has his staff in place, Probably top 3.
Immediate response on the field too.

Given next years schedule, Meyer may lose 1 early and then roll through the year IMPROVING EVERY WEEK, and finish somewhere around 8-4 to 9-3.

Maybe but I think you are getting twisted stuff from a few people that listen to pumper/writers like Buddy Martin. I remember after Mullen's second loss to UK being in the high rent Gator section (big RVs etc) and they were all antiMullen it seemed BEFORE the idiot lost and smiled about it. Now we are well past even the most radical pumpers pretending this moron has what it takes.

Liberals who control academia exist in a bubble of extreme self righteousness laden with utter contempt for the cultural foundations of this nation, especially sports. Why do you think they’re so dead set on letting trannies piledrive and violate female athletes? Sports is just another means to a socio/political end for these turdblossoms. Athletic championships in football are toxic symbols of patriarchy and white supremacy only suitable for redneck trailer trash in places like Bama as far as they’re concerned. UF’s circus clowns in admin want us rubbing shoulders with woke crapfests like Harvard. Not football powerhouses. The result is that, despite massive investment in terms of infrastructure, the ship has been steered into an iceberg by incompetents who have zero clue or care what they’re doing beyond the financial aspects and who should’ve never been anywhere near positions of influence relative to UF football.

Foley never wanted Urban here. He and the other softies in the regime were so traumatized by the chaos of Meyer’s tenure that they actively worked to keep us as far away from the rollercoaster of championship football as possible. Foley hired muffin men he could handle and Stricklin did the same, and this reason alone is why I’d love to see Meyer return like the dark lord of the sith and make them squirm if they’re still even in the building at that point….

Billy’s silence could speak to that, but I’m not confident we‘ll have such a plan in place until it is enacted. Miracles happen, but in the case of Billy doing an immediate 180, I think some definitive good news from the portal and not bleeding potential incoming freshmen as we have seen might’ve been a sign.
