LJ and Amaris are program altering defensive linemen.

I’m not sure if you’re talking specifically about this news or this class. Because the linebacker class will completely alter our defense.
I dont think much of Amaris. We will see.

You dont program alter with DEs. Weve been signing a fleet of DEs and DBs since the Chimp days and the defensen has consistently sucked. A good defense is built at DT and NT period, which is why the last good defense had Floyd, Easley and Hunter inside.

LBs dont look good with weak DTs, just like QBs and RBs dont look good with weak OL. I think Graham might be the best MLB, the only REAL SEC MLB weve had in a decade.

Yeah, I think he may be the best linebacker since Anzalone.

I don’t think that’s necessarily the case. But you announcing to the world the activities you’ve taken part in with random people’s mothers probably doesn’t help our cause.

He, McCray, and Lagway would seem to have that old school sort of love for the program that seems in short supply these days.

And thank God for that.

Most of us on this board have been with the Gators a long time, the history is imprinted in our brains. Loaded for near-instant recall. I remember James Jones' one-handed TD catch from Wayne Peace to beat Miami better than I remember what I was doing last Wednesday.

So it's not intuitive for us to realize that no graduating high-schooler in 2023/2024 has any PERSONAL recollection of having seen Tebow/Spikes/Harvin/etc play for the Gators. Has ever seen us win a National Championship. Has ever seen us win an SEC Championship. Never saw either Urban Meyer or Steve Spurrer as the Gator head ball coach. So many great players, so many great games, they've never seen.

These are precious "shared memories" that the current generation of incoming players simply don't possess.

I was in the stadium the day Jones made that catch. The 80s squads had their ups, downs, and drama, but you always felt that, overall, Florida football was heading in the right direction leading up to the arrival of the HBC. Spurrier was the last piece of a puzzle that came together exactly the way Bear Bryant said it would once UF got the right coach.

He is going to flame out...then all he will do is wine about not being a Gator!

Not sure if this is true, or not, but according to what I read, he has not even officially been offered by them and never even visited. This was also the case with miami where he committed without getting the green light from the staff. The connection to the Aggies is Spencer, so he likely finds a home. But this is grabbing at straws and wanting to share the spotlight with MG(who was gracious about it), nothing more. Nothing personal against him, but this has been embarrassing.
