Kyle Morris did the University worse that Harris. As stupid as some of the off field stuff has been for Harris, he didn't get caught betting on games.

Then where does Shane Matthews fall in all of this? He was Morris' partner in crime.

Matthews and 2 or 3 other players if I remember right.

I only remember Matthews. Next season, boom, Spurrier takes a (wait for it) gamble on him and all of a sudden he's the starting quarterback.

Easier to be caught gambling if you are the 5th string guy, before the nation knows your name. Matthews got to redeem himself by Spurrier betting on him.

Kyle Morris was the worst Qb I've ever seen play at the University of Florida. When you consider who he was handing the ball off to, the adjustments opposing teams had to make to try to stop our run, the talent we had at wide receiver and the ridiculous number of interceptions he threw, he has to be the worst we've had in the last 60 years.

Was going to post this... he will do well in the Big 12 where they don't play defense.

There is nothing in that article, besides them saying WVU will work towards it, that says he'll only have to sit out this season.

As I understand it, the suspension and transfer rile can't run together. Pretty sure that was already determined.

Now they could request that the ncaa allow an early release of that, I suppose, but I'd be surprised if they allowed it.

Looks like he may only have to sit out this season...

He still has the 6 games remaining from his PED's suspension... WVU is going to try to appeal that, and make it concurrent with the year he sits out. I believe they have refused that form of argument in the past.

"What is still unclear, sources say, is how much of a punishment Grier will ultimately be required to serve. Prior to his decision to transfer, ESPN reported that Florida intended to appeal whether Grier would have to sit out any games this fall. Sources told ESPN that West Virginia will work toward Grier being eligible to play in the 2017 opener as a redshirt junior"
