Just the facts, man. Now can he improve on that?
Proud of Brandon Powell's effectiveness and peak energy.
Powell & Callaway are in-the-groove, so let's add TEs & some newbie WRs and
most of all some slashing, bashing RBs. Got to thump UK.
When did you start to make sense?

In baseball, a pitcher's ERA excludes is designed to not penalize the pitcher for errors made by other players. That gives a more nuanced view of who's performing well or not. Unfortunately in college football we don't see "catchable balls" stats on QBs and receivers very often.

So, Coach says there were 6 drops and that makes me conclude those were "catchable balls" therefore on the receiver. Take those 6 away and LDR was 29 of 38 or 76%. I'd say that was damn good.

Keep going. I'm sure we can get him over 400 yards passing and 100% completion.

Not to be a downer, but we played UMASS. The only SEC teams that looked good were UA, Ole Miss, and UGA. UA and UGA both split their QB time and Kelly at Ole Miss threw some terrible pics...
LDR was efficient, not great.

I did not think UGA looked that good. They seemed to be off a little on defense. I also think 'Chum' is not as good as sold. He's not bad, just think not as durable.

I think UGA is not that great either, but they moved up 8 spots in the polls and got lots of love and that is why I mentioned them... Chubb looked like a stud. Getting 233 yards. Can't downplay that, but stop him and they got nothing.

The more passes there are, the greater chance for lower pass percentages and higher percentage of mistakes right?
Normally yes....but considering that about 40 of those passes didn't go past the los we kept him in the safety zone...

I think LDR being efficient and solid is what we all expected. He isn't a stud talent, but if he is efficient that will be a huge deal for us... unlike last year. Grier was feast or famine and TH was just praying he didn't turn it over or take a huge sack.

Call me crazy but I thought all that was said, leading up to kickoff last week, was we just wanted LDR to manage the game and not turn it over? Is that not what we ALL wanted?

Frankly, LDR was much better than Viagra Boy was in his first four games. No wonder he quit.
Yeah, it helps when your offensive linemen can now bench more than 95lbs for 5 reps like last year. There is no way in hell LDR has half the arm Grier does, or the legs. Nothing against LDR because he's what we got from this point on but lets be realistic about talent level and until LDR goes downfield with a much higher percentage of his passes we won't know how good he really is. These little dink and dunk passes are the same thing Weiss had JB do to the smurfs back at the beginning of 2011, they were also the same thing Roper had Drizzy doin' at the beginning of 2014...it won't work for long once the big boys show up to play...

Uhh yea. Lets only focus on the downside and failures. Its disgusting to see anything positive. I wonder if this guy has voodoo dolls of our players and a shrine in his living room where he prays to the negative failure gods. Jeeze man cant you ever see anything good? You must live one miserable existence.

Believe it or not, there are people in this world who intentionally cut themselves or burn themselves with cigarettes too. Its a sickness.

You don't think Chubb is the real deal? What games are you watching? The guy is a truck.

I think Del Rio played fine, but not being at the game I have to wonder why he checked down so many times. There were times when he had time to go through his progressions... were guys not open or did he just not see them?

This should have been similar to the Spring Game. It should have been easy to move the ball. Our backups that he played against in the Spring Game should be better than anything UMASS has starting.

So did he play OK... yeah, but he wasn't great and part of that is on the OL for not giving him time, but we need a lot of improvement in all offensive areas (including QB play) to win the East.

Remember... Treon Harris had a pretty great stat line against New Mexico State last year.

So things are looking up. Gator football has now made it to the point we are now slobbering over a QB who "managed" a game against UMass.

Or you could say as fans we've regressed to the point where we rip on players who played just fine.

I was happy w the QB play. Not the WR play. Those drops are drive killers. QB did miss a a WR open for a TD though. I think he will learn from that film.

Gotta take what the D gives you.

Harris 14/19 215 2 td
Grier 16/18 166 2td
Grady 1/1 3 0 td

After this game a number of posters on this board were still thinking Harris was the guy to lead us to the promised land.
