I guess I'm in the very small minority. Other than the loss of a big recruiting game (that we possibly could have lost, making a poor impression) I actually think this isn't that bad of a deal for us. My thinking is that we don't have a very good team this year anyway and will lose a couple more games and won't end up in a BCS bowl. It's not that big of a loss for us when you take into consideration that LSU has to play us at home twice and that next year our most difficult games, other than the neutral site Michigan and Georgia games, are going to be home. And as a ticket holder I couldn't give two craps about missing a home game against Presbyterian. Financially we will make out OK with the insurance and next year I'm actually going to be excited to see more than one or two decent games at home.
If I'm LSU I'm not too excited because their team isn't going to make a BCS bowl this year so beating us doesn't really mean that much to them. And of course this all could really be a huge plus for us if we actually nut up, go in there like beasts and kick their whiny asses in front of all their recruits.
All kidding aside, we suck this year. Our sked for next year, when we probably have a more realistic chance of reaching our goals, just got a lot better with the inclusion of LSU at BHG. This could turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
I think so. When Steve Russell WRUF looked into the bylaws, the best he could tell was it came down to the schools. If no agreement was reached that was that. He certainly did not see anything about needing to play 8 games or he would have mentioned it.I'd like to ask Sankey to please point me to that rule in the SEC Official Rulebook...
Dude is making up **** as he goes....

That's the hope but I don't see it with what we are losing on defense....I'm more afraid of stumbling towards seasons end and ending up in a reallly ****ty bowl then getting blasted in primetime next year against Michigan...
That happens and our recruiting is just going to get worse....
So Foley decided to be perceived asthe bigger man and do what was best for the SEC. Hmmm. Is he representing Foley or UF, fans, community?
Alleva was representing LSU, LSU fans, and BR community.
Other than the recruiting part I still think it works out well for us. And of course if we win it's works out great for us. Specially next year.At first it doesnt look bad but when you dig deeper it really isn't all that great IMO....
1. You lose the best game at home on your schedule and our largest/best recruiting weekend.
2. You still lose a home game
3. LSU now has a huge recruiting weekend they wouldn't have had otherwise
4. Depending on our w/l record that game in BR could determine whether we are sitting at home in December or in Memphis; although unlikely we miss a bowl all together, it was nice knowing we had a cupcake to help us if needed.

How is LSU gaining a recruiting advantage with an interim coach that will only be retained if they get turned down by their first 50 choices?
Hopefully Bama/Arkansas (physically) fu*k them up beyond repair before we stroll into BR and "gang bang" them!!!! F*ck Foley...he has been more harmful (to the football program) over the last decade than he's been helpful and this is just another example!@BryanDFischer: LSU’s November is now Alabama, at Arkansas, Florida, at Texas A&M. Tough month for Ed Orgeron if he wants to keep the job.
Bravo Foley
