The West is the weakest bracket, IMO. The Zags might actually have a shot at the final 4, if they don't choke, like usual.

Cakewalk for Arizona to be 'hosting' the Final Four. ND or WVU will take out the Zags with prep time. God forbid the Evil Nole gets even lukewarm, they could make noise.

As for UF, we can run with and outscore ETSU, but the thought of playing UVA and their halfcourt, plodding, defensive style would be a nightmare in round two.

I think UVa is about as good a 2nd round matchup as UF could hope for.

We did get a favorable bracket so hopefully we can make some noise to the Sweet 16. Possible 2nd round matchup vs UVA is favorable cause they like to play a defensive game and we can play that way too. Go Gators!!

I REALLY think we need to run and press as we have good depth and we have guys that can play fast and go to the hoop or dish it off for dunks and lay ups and pass it to the wings for open 3 pointers. We played like that earlier in the year but after Egbunu went out we went away from that. Hill, Chiozza, Barry, and Allen can all drive and dish so we will see. Go Gators!!

We have good depth if White is willing to give tourney minutes to Hester and Gak. I think in the last two games we have seen how he plans to shorten his bench.

BTW, Barry averages 0.6 assists per game. And as far as I can see UF rarely has worked inside out for 3s with this group.

Well the 5s were UVa, Iowa St., UND and Minnesota. Maybe Minnesota would be a better bet for UF but they play Middle Tn who everyone says is really good and likely to win. UVa is 1-3 its last 4 games as a 5 v. a 12 and many think that UVa will not advance.

1. UF is a 4 not a 5.

2. As far as I can tell UF has 1-2 as a 5 seed.

What? Virginia won 4 of their last 5 games with a win over NC in there I think. Virginia beat Louisville twice and Notre Dame also and some people think they will be a cakewalk it appears. Not sure where that stuff is coming from. They beat a # 1 seed recently while we lost multiple times to Vandy. They held high flying NC to just 43 points.

I'm not sure why everybody is saying we lucked out on our draw. The first-round matchup is great for us. After that?

With Eggs this would've been a sweet 16/elite 8 team. Maybe final four.

Without? A 50-50 chance to get out of the first weekend alive. Virginia is a pretty tough matchup.

I haven't watched any of Villanova but I have seen some of Duke. They're pretty damn good this year. Playing much better than us right now, IMO. And while I don't follow Villanova, their coach is one of the best.

This is no knock on our team. I think they've played well beyond anything I expected this year. Now, can we get beyond the round of 16? When the shots are falling we are almost unbeatable. But we haven't shot like that for a while. Maybe not since Kentucky at home.

They went 6-7 in their last 13 games. To their credit, two of those wins were Louisville and UNC, but they also beat Pitt twice and NCSU once. They were 16-3 after beating Notre Dame on January 24, and finished the season 22-10.

How does a team suck that won those 4 games against top notch competition and held # 1 seed NC to 43 points recently? NC is a scoring machine usually. We only beat one top level team while they had 4 wins against top level teams. Just not seeing where this is coming from - I guess because Virginia plays that defensive type of game which is boring.

I hope they do get upset however in that first game.

They're a guard-oriented team with no legit scoring threat inside. That's about as good a matchup as we're going to get.
