Why is the conventional wisdom around here is Franks had no QB coaching in high school? His head coach played QB at Valdosta State. I'm sure he knows a little more about coaching QBs than most high school coaches.

What is the evidence?

Well that's no good. He's throwing against air. ??
And the fact that he's that solid 220lbs has less to do with escaping on-rushers as does elusiveness = Franks & Toney better than Z. I'm glad we've got Zaire, but I'm more glad we've got Franks and we've got Toney. And I'm betting Franks can be more elusive than Zaire and I'm betting Franks runs as fast as Zaire. Bet at playing in the heat of the South, Franks is better than Zaire. Still, very glad we've got Zaire and I hope Franks & Toney get us a big enough lead that Zaire is allowed to show off his last season enough to impress NFL scouts, 'cause that's his dream and he'll surely be a Gator by then. Finally, if Zaire obviously makes our offense click best, then he should be made starter over Franks. Also, Toney should get enough QB practice snaps to see if Toney can outperformed both Franks, Zaire,....and LDR who now has a Shands' bionic shoulder---

Maybe you will get your wish and we will see just how ready Franks is against Michigan where he won't have starting WRs going against walk-on and 3rd string DBs like in the spring game. Franks may surprise us we won't know 100% unless he is out there I guess.

Franks can move but he isn't close to Zaire in elusiveness. I doubt Toney takes more than a few snaps this whole season at QB after hearing some practice reports. I wouldn't be surprised if Toney isn't moved to another position by 2018.

Trask looks more accurate than Zaire.....throws a prettier ball too....

Yeah, unfortunately he apparently has the confidence of a cockroach. The lights come on, and he scurries to hide.
