In my opinion, this was going to come out later on down the road and closer to the start of game 1, especially since this happened in the past. The thinking may have been to release the news of the suspensions as "violations of teams rules" how we used to hear before games every year in the past. The intention was probably to have Michigan game-plan for Callaway, etc. I'm sure they've been working on double teams and safety shifts on him. Now, being the rumors started to swirl yesterday, Mac and Co decided to get out in front of this to not have the negative publicity. So, in an age where we want information immediately, we fans might have impacted the game-plan just a little. Of course, this is just my opinion, but it seems legit.

Well, it appears the rumors were true (except for the crazy $150k). Guess that's why he posted it in the chatbox when he heard it Friday night. Anyone who thinks UF was going to sweep theft/fraud under the rug was being delusional. This ain't Tuscaloosa or Tallacrappy.

And Calloway should be told to GTFO...NOW!

With Massey and Tony I don't think we miss Calloway that much with his instant big play ability. I'm 100% sold on getting his ass out of the program. It's going to get to the point of resentment for the other players if we keep him around and he keeps screwing up
Yeah. As talented as he is he has been a distraction since he stepped on campus. He's approaching, or might have already reached the point where his talent is overshadowed by his antics. Especially if he plans on fielding punts inside the 5 again this year. I'm all for giving a guy chances but its getting ridiculous.

I guess Huntley Johnson will be getting some more business.

I'm curious, who pays Huntley's fee when he represents athletes? I imagine that some of these players don't have a lot of cash and couldn't afford a lawyer and I'm guessing the university isn't allowed to pay but I could be wrong. Anybody have some insight on this?

Just how many times has Calloway been in trouble while at UF? The sex assault accusations that went no where, the misdemeanor for the weed in the car, and now this. Am I just drawing a blank on something else? Cause this is all I remember him getting trouble for.

I am quite satisfied with the decision to suspend the offenders. However Calloway should be genuflecting in front of many that he is still on the team. As far as I am concerned it would have been okay to set him loose!

Maybe as far as actual criminal issues but I believe he's had others issues, including weed and possibly failed drug test(s), that have been internal team issues. Didn't he get caught doing something stupid with Treon? And the whole thing with the 40 year old career criminal he was hanging with? The guy just seems like he is a dark cloud wherever he goes with all the shyt he brings upon himself trailing behind and ultimate causing problems for others.

I wouldn't think someone who is in serious trouble is posting on snapchat like nothing ever happened. That could be a good sign for Callaway. But whoever committed the rumored credit card fraud isn't that bright to begin with. So...

Maybe he's just a narcissistic sociopath...that would explain the carefree attitude in the face of more trouble coming down the pike.

Yeah I thought the Treon thing was the sex assault accusation. Just don't seem to remember as many incidents as people are making it out to be.

There's 2 weed incidents I recall (other than the "I was too high to consent" event). In the car with treon and Tabor, and the more recent incident with the older felon dude.

He needs to be sent packing.................he's a distraction, not dependable and brings others down with him. Kick his ass off the team.

Before he kicked out? I would think a 3 strike policy, but don't think the sex assault claim should count as it went nowhere. He had weed possession and now this card fraud and I don't remember anything else. So he gets one more strike, now that being said if he had done a felony or something severe, then yeah you have to boot him.
