Danny = surgeon
Tim = sledgehammer
Danny carved em up with little or no emotion, just a little gratitude for the guy above, calm and collected.
Tebow was more like a war wagon.....Anyone remember his demeanor in the 2nd half of the NC game against OU.....I think he was so fired up he could have single-handedly kicked the entire OU teams ass all by himself.
Gotta love both of these guys.

Danny was a tough cookie. He took numerous beatings and continued to get up and throw beauties with lineman in his face over and over. He had heart and grit.

Great analogy. Danny was New Testament while Timmy was old. But Danny took as many hard hits as TImmy. FSU tried to kill him and he kept getting up each time. He was amazing in that respect.

I rewatched the 2008 NC game. Tebow didn't play that well. Threw two INTs in the first half. A couple of nice runs. And a jump pass to seal the game but otherwise I could definitely see why the NFL wasn't interested in him. Finally saw him without O/B glasses on.

Call me crazy, I am sure some will but if the NFL would have just left Tim alone and not tried to change everything he did he would have still won alot of games. He seemed to lose confidence when they wanted to change everything and every single throw he made was dissected by every single sports caster and writer out there. Tim is a winner. I know, I know, his throwing motion wont work in the big leagues......

Here's how many # 1 rankings these players have for currently holding a school record:

Tim Tebow - 9
Carlos Alvarez - 3
Danny Wuerffel - 2
Emmitt Smith - 2
Terry Dean - 2

Statistically it's Tebow and it's not even close.

Edit: This is just the school records I saw on Wikipedia. Also, Emmitt and Alvarez would probably have more records if they played all 4 years.

Did you see him perform in his finale? Now of course it was against an over manned and somewhat discouraged team, but even his detractors admired his throwing that night.

The NFL is not interested in several aspects of Tim.

First and foremost to get the most out of him you need a custom offense and a backup similar to him.

Next they don't like the attention that he brings, they believe it to be a distraction.

Finally they don't appreciate leadership, community involvement, etc. that much.

Tim is better off without them.

Would it be more accurate to show which records they had upon leaving. The rules and the game has changed more offensive centric. So eras are hard to compare.

Well yes. I was looking at a sample size of one. It was notable only because he didn't play that well. But with Tebow on the field I always felt we would win, which I'm sure most fans felt, and I'm sure the team felt. That was his intangible.

Right who replaced their coach matters some to this.

You missed my point. Danny did exactly what he was told to do...no matter what...no matter when. He was the perfect QB to play for SOS and under SOS....Tim was a one man wrecking crew.

Of course he was, don't misunderstand my appreciation for both. Danny was The Perfect QB for the genius that was SOS's system.....he was not lacking testicular fortitude in the least.
Tim was the perfect fit for the mayhem that Meyers system brought to us.

Wasn't talking to you but I don't disagree with you.

I did. Apparently shirtless teenage boys are okay with Ox but a girl in a bathing suit is not.
It certainly isn't okay with Google, who has threatened to pull my ad revenue rights three times now due to the kinds of pictures you were posting.

I really don't get the need to constantly post pics like that on a sports board. If you wanna look at chics, then go look at chics. What's the need to continuously post them here?

There are websites where you can explore every nook and cranny of the female form. And every one of you twerps already have those sites saved in your bookmarks.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I truly don't understand why you would want to post them on a sports board. I get the occasional sports related chic pic, and we already have the NSFW thread, so I can't figure out why some can't control themselves in the rest of the forum.
