Staying put in Lakeland, POLK County. Properly prepped with guns, ammo, water, and bourbon.

Palm Coast, Flagler County. The latest track has it coming through my back yard. Still planning on staying.

Is it the good 8 yr stuff or the newer stuff?

Its the typical shelf stuff. I went through the last of my Woodford Reserve this past Saturday. I'll go and buy some other good stuff tomorrow...

Bluffton, SC. Just between Hilton Head and Savannah, GA. We're barely equipped to handle a category 2. We may be seriously f--ked. My gf lives in TN, but still not sure I wanna drive 8 hours.

Beautiful area, but I sure wouldn't want to be there during a hurricane. Be safe.

2 miles north of Minneola, FL on 10 acres about a mile west of US 27. Concrete block with hipped metal roof. Wife and I and 7 dogs and African grey staying put. Flooding not an issue. Wind primary concern. I'll take photo of eye as it passes over. Yikes.

SEE THE OFFICIAL RELEASE.

“Today, I am directing the closure of all public schools, state colleges, state universities and state offices for their normal activities effective Friday through Monday, to ensure we have every space available for sheltering and staging. Floridians are facing a life-threatening storm in Hurricane Irma, and every family must prepare to evacuate. Our state’s public schools serve a vital role in our communities as shelters for displaced residents and staging areas for hurricane recovery efforts. Closing public schools, state colleges, state universities and state offices will provide local and state emergency officials the flexibility necessary to support shelter and emergency response efforts.”

Ocala-Mostly block house protected by some good quality live oaks. When the 2004 storms came thru you could see how they broke up the wind.
Family staying but my agency is emergency response and I am on stand-by.
Spent two weeks at Port Charlotte after Charlie, and remember traveling down 75 and seeing the point where the core winds hit.
