GatorJ, prepare to be attacked by a lot of people on this board. I'm not one of them, however. It's a sincere question.

I watch because if you cut open my veins, Orange and Blue blood will come rushing out.

I watch, because I can't not watch. Gator football is a part of who I am, what I love.

Most of my highest highs have been in some way directly or indirectly related to Gator Nation.

I watch, because Gator football was once my #1 love before anything else. And I look forward to the days when it will bring us all joy again.

Watching Gator football on Saturdays is like driving to work Monday through Friday.

It's just...life.

And to have been a part of Gator Nation for over 26 years now...is truly an honor and a blessing that will always be close to my heart.

That's why I watch.

Go Gators.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I’m a little bit older. And I’m married. And I have two boys. And I coach both of their basketball teams. Plus they’re both in scouts. And I run as an assistant scoutmaster.

Maybe it’s because of all of that – that I find it very, very, very, difficult to invest my time and energy into watching something that I love fall apart and decay. It brings me no joy.

I hear ya. For the most part, I watch with little to no emotion anymore. Back in the glory days, I could run through a brick wall during Florida football. Now I just watch with indifference.

...

But I still watch.

Look I agree, and obviously been the guy who said stop attending, stop buying stuff, stop sending money til they fix this, and yet...

I'm a Gator and I still watch.

You see – I’m kind of in the opposite camp. I understand attending the games. Supporting the players on the field. Screaming your head off for your team in a game environment. But at home? How does that help support the team? All it does is add anxiety and depression.

I watch because I know the emotional payoff is going to be significantly higher when the team finally gets back on the horse.

I have two kids in college, one at Bama and one at Ole Miss. Making time to spend time with my kids is a priority so I spend a few weekends a year in Tuscaloosa and Oxford. But I still make time to watch my Gators, even if it is just replay. The reasons is simple, "In all kinds of weather!"

I watch firstly b/c I am a Gator fan. Unlike what I perceive to be the reason for this thread, I am not a scoreboard watcher. B/C we are awful and losing many tune out, I get it. But some of us like to come onto Chatter and want to be able to speak with some intelligence and viewing the games is the way I do it. By watching yesterday, we saw still just how bad special teams are. But those that did not watch will see 3 made FG's and decent punt avg. in the boxscore and giving no returns for scores and think it was okay. But NO, it was horrendous. Or you can listen to the morons tel you maybe, for example how good Martez Ivey is and is ready for the pros. well if you watch yesterday, you will see he still stinks out loud. You would see that J. Taylor, the off. tackle, is awful and should be playing guard. Or you could see just how we got pushed around like shopping carts. So that is why we watch, so we can expound on our views and not just say "call me when we are winning, regardless of product".

For the first time since I can remember, I voluntarily turned the game off yesterday and did something different. That pains me. I usually will watch til the end no matter what....I just couldn't take any more. I was at peace knowing we were getting new coaches soon.

I put two through Bama, the drive to Tuscaloosa and seeing the kids was great and was a priority but everyone knew I was a Gator and UF is always in my heart.

First game I attended there I wore a Gator cap. Lady in the stands asked if I made a wrong turn on I-10. Had to laugh.
