Appleby’s big news was that he’s starting a podcast....
He's just big boned.Except Kelly looks like a coronary bypass waiting to happen.
I don’t care how he interacts with boosters and the media. Just. Win. Games.
Yeah I agree, just win, but if the boosters expect certain attention from the head coach and that annoys him, then he will likely leave the first chance he gets. I think Kelly is capable of doing great things here, but he’s going to have to embrace a lot of the things that comes with the job.
I think Mullen is an arse and don't want him hear but he had a good game plan yesterday against the bammers.
Hopefully we'll have Chip soon to lay the wood.
Gainesville hates her.I thought Mullen's wife hated G-Ville? If thats the case its not happening
Embrace UF traditions, reach out to Gator legends—who you can relate to much more than just some wealthy, successful alum—make them central in all you do, and the boosters and media will fall in line. It’s that simple.
Kelly should have no problem doing that. He was coaching Tebow’s top competition for the Heisman in 2007, and later signed him to the Eagles. Get his endorsement and everything else will take care of itself.

Thamel wrote, “Don’t expect Florida to formally reach out or attempt to interview Frost until after the American Athletic Conference title game on Dec. 2,” which is standard protocol.
With Kelly, Thamel did state that Florida is in the process of vetting the current ESPN analyst, particularly his issues with the NCAA at Oregon. However, Thamel writes, “The early read on how administrators at Florida and the SEC perceive the recruiting transgressions during Kelly’s tenure at Oregon is positive for the coach. A safe way to view Kelly’s NCAA issues is that not all show causes are created equally, and his issues at Oregon don’t appear to be a significant hindrance to his potential hiring at Florida.”
Looks like Chip is in the clear with the NCAA
