There was definitely pressure on Meyer to flip the legacy who was committed to
Texas. Gatorade player of the year, 5 star QB who never fit. I always wonder had Newton not stolen the laptop, how the situation would’ve shaken out....what could’ve been
Cam's inability to hit the dumpster with the laptop had nothing to do with him leaving UF.

He didn’t get kicked out for throwing his stolen laptop out the window. We’ve let guys slide for much worse than that. He got kicked out for cheating.

Corral simply doesn't fit the Mullen offense. Funny how he goes to Ole Miss and NO other BIG programs want him. Ole Miss one of the last places you would want to go. No bowls and reduced scholarships. Dead program for the next couple of years. We will enjoy watching him get OWNED and DESTROYED on the field.

Ain’t nobody going to FSU with zero coaches on staff. Not worried
And in other news, there is no way Corral will pick Ole Miss over us since they are on probation, there is no way Chip will pick UCLA as they don’t have a real football program or resources, and there is no way Frost picks Nebraska because he can’t get the athletes there he can get in Florida.

I feel like you just jinxed us.
FSU has one of the better QB situations in the nation, so Jones won’t be seeing the field anytime soon if he commits to FSU. Doesn’t seem likely to me, but the decision making of 17/18 yo is largely unpredictable, as we’ve become accustomed to.

Guys, it says "Expected" to make a visit. Last I heard he is still in G-Ville with his Mom.

He got kicked out for cheating.

And it should never be forgotten that Newton cheated in the most corrupting way you could cheat. He made up a title page, substituted his title page onto someone else's paper leaving that student unknowingly without a paper turned in for the class. Cheating is a bad evil thing, cheating in such a way as to harm someone else is even worse.

No way Jones will pick FSU over us because they don't have any coaches? You're suggesting there is a pattern here?

On a serious note, if we do miss on Jones to FSU you might want to search your shed for your grinding stone and pitchfork. I'm not saying get it fully sharpened and leaning on your front porch, but you might want to at least take inventory and start getting it dusted off.

Which I think it was and still is.
we could have had Danny Wuerffel, Shane Matthews, Rex Grossman along with Emmitt Smith and Fred Taylor on this team last three years and it would have been a terrible offense. no one looks good or better behind an offensive line like that.

Funny you mention Emmitt Smith as there was much complaining about the UF OL in 1987 and the inability of UF to run. Then Hall started and gave the ball to Emmitt enough times and UF was running all over teams. So a player sometimes can make a difference in a decent offense. Perhaps you meant to say no one looks good in a poorly designed and coached offense that takes no risks.

Yeah let's ruin our chances with all of the other Qb recruits for a no reason at all.

Offer is still out there if anyone wants to bet on Fields coming to UF to be our Qb. Avatar bet for the season, permanent avatar, all your ox bucks, loser leaves site for entire season, you name it I'll take the bet. Fields will never be our Qb get over it

What’s to stop the loser from coming back wearing a mask? When Dusty Rhodes lost the loser leave town match in FLA Championship Wrestling back in the early 80’s, a masked man called The Midnight Rider showed up the following week...and he had the exact same mannerisms and speak patterns as Dusty. The Masked Assassin was pissed to say the least!

Anybody have access to this? Please tell me it’s not bad news, this is arguably my favorite recruit in the class.
