Lol now we don't want 5star players because they're too raw smh. Let the rationalization begin.

The point Donk and a few others were making is that a lot of the guys with the top ratings don't have bodies that are ready for playing quick. Maybe you missed the past couple seasons because our offense induced a fugue state, but our Oline is broken. Once we get to where we are functional, maybe we can go after guys who are going to eat, lift and grow into their bodies for two years until they become 300 plus pound road graders. All but a handful of the 4/5 star tackles are light and all of the Centers are under 290. You have a larger percentage of the OG's that have the weight but their heights are all over the place. Evan Neal for example is 6'7. I can't see him playing at that height at OG and he might not have quickness to play tackle.

So realistically you want 2-3 interior lineman in the class, who do you take above this guy in our area? He's a big body that every SEC-W school has offered. Neal? Huge, but probably too tall. Putnam? Talented, but needs to grow into his body. The only guy I'd like to see more is Keiondre Jones. Even though Auburn is pushing hard for him I think we have an excellent shot especially if Emory Jones is playing early. We get those two and I think you need to be pretty happy with that part of our class.

Three stars need to be a red flag when we are battling FAU for their services. This kid is not one of those.

Like most o-linemen, it is tough to learn anything from Riley Simonds highlight tapes. Of the 40 minutes I watched, maybe 2-3 of it were useful. The main thing? His tape reminded me a bit of Jawaan Taylor's tape. He knew he was playing against guys 50 to 90 pounds lighter than him. So, he played the bully. If there wasn't anyone to block on the play, he'd go find someone just to push down. He liked to blindside already engaged blockers, get a running start, and blast them. He plays nasty. He'll fit in perfectly with Mullen's power running game.

He had absolutely no chance of getting in so we went and got the kid from Georgia. Also we and UGA quit recruiting him over a month ago because he showed up to camps this summer fat and out of shape! Dude jumped into the FSU class quick after We/UGA and Miami cooled on him

Give me a guy that is ready to play, plays nasty, is a workout warrior and is coachable and he can be a 2*.

I like Simonds. OL is hard to project. How many 5*s have we had that suck? How many 4*s? How many 3*s have we had that kick ass? Its a big mix. But low 3*s suck. Think Fred Johnson vs. Brett Heggie. I am taking Heggie all day everyday.

SO I think there is a floor and above that floor it is a crap shoot. Mac got a lot of low 3*s. The guys starting on the line are the highest rated guys Mac recruited. I doubt we will ever see many of the lower ranked guys.

Almost all of the guys Mullen has gotten are higher rated than Macs guys. This gives me hope that we will have at least a top 35 OL. I can live with that for now.

Higdon was saying Simonds was one of the top guys on the board for the staff this year. Higher than Putnam.

Rivals lists him a little lighter at 290. Don't know which weigh is more current. But even if he falls in the middle between the rivals weight and the 247 listing of 324 lbs, he's still around 310. Bring it son!

Kamaar Bell is no slouch. He has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Missouri, Miami, Virginia Tech and a few lower rated schools like Kentucky and Indiana.
