West Virginia is very good, but they don't suddenly have a top defense. UT only scoring twice against a Big 12 defense is pretty bad. What if I say, in fairness West Virginia was more a well oiled machine. They were good last year, same QB and a mature cohesive OL/DL. Grier is a future NFL QB. It was too much for a new staff to coach their team up for that kind of challenge game one.

That's a real shame. Heartbreaking. It could have and should have been much worse. The West Virginia offense shot themselves in a foot in the first half. Their defense (if you throw out their FCS opponent) gave up an average of almost 33 points per game. The football powerhouse that is Kansas scored 34 last year. The offensive philosophy appears to be Muschamp-esk.
That's a real shame. Heartbreaking.
While watching I had to ask if a Center could move out of the way or wiff more often than the Vol's.West Virginia is very good, but they don't suddenly have a top defense. UT only scoring twice against a Big 12 defense is pretty bad.
I totally agree w' you. Living here is great when ut sux. They hate UF with some much venom that it is absolutely hilarious. I really fire them up when I tell them I dont care about the ut rivalry. I tell them they are about 5th on the list behind uga, fsu, lsu and sc. That pisses them off so bad. Good night for the gators and lets keep getting better.I worked in East Tennessee for 6 years. UT are the most insufferable fans on the planet. Their hatred towards Florida was very deep, I'd say far more than we have towards them.
Silence so far on my Facebook from them, which is always a good. Can't wait to beat their asses in 3 weeks.
Any team that can score twice should have a pretty easy game against one of the many SEC East Mushchumps.
