Anyone else worried about the prospect of playing UCF in a New Year's 6 bowl?

I wouldn't mind playing UCF. I think we would be able to beat them on toughness alone.

Many may hate what I'm going to say but UCF is the future university of the state of Florida, it would be nice to put them back in their place for the time being.

I agree. We keep saying we're the best team in Florida. It's time to prove it. UCF only plays cupcakes. We do great against cupcakes also. The only way to win championships is on the field. We're still rebuilding, but the team needs experience. Win or lose we would be a better team after the game.

I would be more worried about such a boring, lackluster bowl matchup that nobody outside the state of Florida would care about.
But to answer the question, we could run it down their throats and UCF couldn’t do anything to stop it. By midway in the third quarter they’d be gassed, beaten and begging to go back to 1-AA (I know, it will always be 1-AA to me).

There’s definitely a possibility. We’ll be 13th at worst this week, and top 12 almost guarantees you a NY6 game. Would be nice if LSU would drop a game the next two weeks though. I’d say at worst we’re looking at the Outback.

How many teams can a conference send to a NY6 bowl? Assuming Lsu wins out and UGa loses to Bama, they'd both definitely go to one in your scenario. Just thought there was some kind of a limit on how many a conference could send. At 9-3 and 2 wins over FCS teams, I can't see them giving us one. We may not move higher in the poll due to our schedule, the next 2 games definitely won't help our SOS.

But this isn't last year. Central is still just a 1AA team. They have maybe 1/4 the talent of Vandy.
