The 2018 state of the board discussion thread

Just saw this. Only have read a few pages.

The board is great as is. Biggest thing that sets this board apart from others....is you are entitled to your opinion. Can you take heat for it, sure. But you can voice it as loud and annoyingly numerous as you want....unlike other boards that perma ban you for saying a walk on should play better lol

Banter, debate, and arguments are fun and make this board the greatest. It's like talking sports with real people...even though I insist some of you are robots

Also, "White Supremacy Chatter" is probably a more appropriate name for this site considering the way things have been going here over the past year or two.

This board is great from my perspective. I’ve been a lurker for years and visit this site regularly to get a feel for the temperature of gator nation. The Butters fiasco finally drew me in and I now post random comments on occasion that add little to no value. I find the general tone and banter entertaining. It’s a great place for gator football fans to blow off some steam and give each other some good natured ribbing. Nothing more, nothing less.

I used to get that annoying “You’ve won a prize from Amazon” pop up/redirect (I’m mainly on my cell when on GCMB) but when I became a lifetime member it stopped happening. That’s been 9-12 months it seems. I thought the 2 were related but from reading what Ox & Swonky have posted apparently not. I don’t know the reason but I’m happy it’s no longer an issue for me.
