But getting punked by your arch rival in the last game of the year with everything on the line isn't? If a conference road blow out in the middle of the season to an average team is disqualifying, then go to the next team that actually won something instead of a team that collapsed with everything on the line. Can't say it enough. Getting boat raced by a 7-5 team is disqualifying.
Losing to a top 5 team on the road =/= giving up 52 points and losing by 31 to a team that barely qualified for a bowl. But getting punked by your arch rival in the last game of the year with everything on the line isn't? You can argue about bad losses vs. good losses until the end of time. My point is the only thing that should matter is who's left standing at the end of the year. I think Bama's loss to Auburn is worse that OSU's loss to Iowa (one was basically a playoff game, the other was just another midseason road game). You think otherwise. Nothing wrong with either, but they're both just opinions. So I say lets reward the team that held up a trophy yesterday instead of the team that was sitting home watching with the rest of us.Losing to a top 5 team on the road =/= giving up 52 points and losing by 31 to a team that barely qualified for a bowl.
And so you think if committee selected OSU instead that it would've been based on merit?I can't believe they put Bama in just because of their reputation. What a joke decision.

Then I choose USCSo I say lets reward the team that held up a trophy yesterday instead of the team that was sitting home watching with the rest of us.
I couldn't agree more. USC should have been in before Bama.
Then I choose USC
Until the wheel turns on Nick and his Bammeroid minions, the rest of the league will suffer.I don't know why any Gator fan would want Bama to get into the playoff.
F Bama. I am so sick of Bama I could spit. They have become the quintessential self-licking ice cream cone and it sucks for everybody. They win damn near every game because they have so many good players. And they have so many good players because they win so many games. The cycle never ends. Let them sit at home and watch the playoffs this year. I won't shed a tear at all.
BTW the fact that the best team doesn't always win is the whole reason we like sports. Without that, there is no reason to even play the games. Lay out a path to a championship and win the games you have to win to advance. Don't get that done and you stay home, no matter how beautiful anybody thinks you are.
Iowa loss was in Nov. Two losses. 55-24. Nope. But getting punked by your arch rival in the last game of the year with everything on the line isn't? To decide conference champions?I’m an SEC guy but why even have the Conference Championships?
Go figure, Spicoli is pissed USC didn't make it in....But getting punked by your arch rival in the last game of the year with everything on the line isn't?
