Classic Maynard...Captain Sasquatch;n252528 said:Even though I don't know a whole ton of their music, I've always thought Tool would be a great show to catch simply because of Maynard.
Phineus Maximus;n252439 said:I have to agree with this one, too. He's captivating.
As an aside, I just saw Corey Taylor and Slipknot again this weekend in Tampa. Great seats, great show. Slipknot is always a spectacle.

I saw the smashing pumpkins a few years ago. I wasn't overly impressed until their encore, which was perfomred entirely using kazoosTheDouglas78;n252576 said:I saw Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson this weekend. Marilyn Manson surprised me, though there would be more threatrics (ie Alice Cooper), but guy can sing and does a good job commanding the stage. Billy Corgan through good singer was really not special as the lead act this weekend. Dude can sing, but just didn't seem to command the stage.

Although, this Sunday evening in nearby Greenville, I get to finally see The Eagles in person. I've seen Henley and Frey solo, but not together. I really don't know who you would say the 'frontman' for The Eagles truly is......either Henley or Frey could eclipse Tyler on my list.

Southwestern landscape music (at least that's what I call it) - love his work. :thumbsup:rogdochar;n253233 said:Ry Cooder anybody ?
Actually 3 alpha dogs because I count Joe Walsh right in there with these two (though JW was not the front man). Incredibly talented band, that's for sure.Gatordiddy;n252929 said:Wow - did not recognize them at first.
Two alpha dogs in the same band doesn't work.
Don Henley was a rock god.
Very good article re: Eagles:
