Omg yes. I love making them in a crock pot with beer, cayenne, Texas Pete and whatever other hot and spicy ingredients I have on hand.

There's a dude in St Augustine that makes them almost identical to that, but with local datil peppers instead of Texas Pete & it's amazing.

Boiled peanuts = Redneck hors d’oeuvres. That was always a big treat when I was growing up when they started digging in the fall. A staple in a lot of football concession stands. The only bad ones are either too salty or not boiled enough (still a little crunchy).
