UT has a chance to win the East this year, but calling them the favorite is just silly. The East is completely wide open this year, and everyone besides Vandy and UK has a legitimate shot at it. So far Jones reminds me of Mark Richt, so like UGA I can see UT being competitive every year, crapping their pants and blowing it most years, and then occasionally getting lucky and winning the East in every 3-4 years.
The last few years Mizzou has won based on other teams self-imploding, and they are all that's left. Same could happen this year. USC is a huge question mark and looks to be sliding, UGA has a bad habit of underachieving, UT is very unproven, and UF has alarming O-line issues that could easily break the season with one or two injuries. If UF can stay relatively healthy, then I think it will be a fun year for us.
