Yep. No way Foley makes a public appearance like this unless Mac has already accepted. And yeah, the right thing to do is to inform the players first. I mean this is what this is about - - the players. Not self indulgent message board denizens like myself. I'm all but dancing in my den following this. I feel great about this hire which is a 180 degree turn from how I felt on the day Champer was tagged as the next coach. My home felt like a funeral home that day. One thing I like about this hire (assuming Foley closes this thing) is that he played for a really crappy team. There should be no dream job jumping unless he wanted to give the nfl a shot and coaching the Raiders usually squashes those aspirations
