It was a much spicier thread title. You of all people should know about terrible thread titles.

And yet I'm not rooting for or against Grier. If you look back I said I believe Grier will win.

I'm not rooting for or against Grier or Treon.

You've been on the board long enough to know that rationality won't be tolerated. Please stop. It upsets posters.

I agree with those reminding us that Treon was a H.S. grad, a freshman, thrown into the quicksand of Mushchamp's
conglomerate mistakes put on the field. But also, aren't we forgetting that Grier is talented at footwise evasion and
running for gains. And so he can punish the mindless rush. ?? Fate should make it a neck & neck QB competition.
The Hope should be that our two "qualified" QBs become friends & fans of each other. Root for each other when one
is on the field. That would be for the team the pinnacle of leadership qualities. I think the spirit of the whole team, O & D,
would be off the charts - matching coach Mac's first presser statement "It's gonna be a blast". Go Gators ! This year.

please tell me what game treon won us or what game he kicked ass in
The most obvious one was probably the most important, at TN, losing, being shutout up to that point, looking discombulated (normal offense under dawgchamp) Treon goes in and you could see every player on the field come alive and started to play with more passion.

Tennesse lost that game more than we won it. I would say that his best game was Vanderbilt, the offense looked more efficient even though his individual numbers were not great.

Treon victimized UT's defense more than UT gave the game away. With the insertion of a novice never played QB
the Florida team UT faced turned into something different = a fired-up-to-win group of players, a team effort late rally.

The offense was more efficient with Treon, but victimized is the wrong word for it. We scored one touchdown on a short field starting at the Tennesse 30, a field gold which was a 49 yard drive, a 6 yard drive ending in a punt, and a kneel down drive. Not exactly world beating stuff right there. The defense played out of it's mind all game. But Tennesse gave us the short field and UT amass 51 yards (3 drives) and an interception from the point Treon got on the field. Tennesse went Tennesse.

Vandy was a good game for him, but the TN game, which was an L up to the point he came in the game was an example of how his presence changed the game. He sparked the team, they looked like a team that felt they could win then. Yes he was given a short field, etc, but whose to say JD wouldn't have throw an INT, run out of bounds for a loss, the team just didn't seem to respond to him. The D was playing great the whole game, but even they were more animated after Treon came in, probably realizing their great effort wasn't going to be in vain.

I swear some of this pro Grier talk is starting to remind me of Brantley's final season when everyone thought Driskel was a guaranteed savior or something because of his recruiting ranking if only the starting job was given to him.

Actually scoring on 50% of drives is world beating.

He completed two passes and almost threw a pick 6 . Not to mention Hardin kicked the longest field goal of his life.
